The bodies of Stella and Jack Drewsome were found in thier homes yesterday afternoon. A neighbor had gone into the home of his longtime friend, hoping to discover why Jack, a young and newly married man, had missed work. The couple was found slain in a viscious manner.
People close to the Drewsomes say they were quiet but kind, hardworking folk. It seems no one would want to kill them, leaving people to wonder why.
The killings were also eirriely similar to the deaths of a mother and father in Hangman's square. Both of the victims's homes were off of one of the city's two major sqaures. Both were couples in bed. And both were beleived to be slain in the middle of the night, while failing to alert neighbors or in the case of the first killings, the other people in the house.
City officials are saying that while the killer may strike again, much time passed between the first incident and the second, hopefully giving them plenty of time to catch the culprit before he strikes again.
