| Ron has a system for determining these things for hits and spell successes, but perhaps not all things can be covered with this. (I have to talk to him about it)
In the meantime, I'll be testing things out here. Feedback is welcome.
Aeonna touches the maid, meaning to paralyze her....
The one hundred die represents the two base numbers the girl must beat.
Less than ten is an auto fail for the attack. Greater than ninety is an auto success.

| The maid looks up, feeling a slight chill on her arm. "Ma'dam? May I go?" She asks, her eyes wide and frightened.
Aeonna backhands her instead. Frida falls to the floor, sobbing. What did I do?, she asks herself, not knowing what happened.
"Get out of my sight!" Aeonna barks.
Frida runs from the room, rubbing her arm. Something told her she had just narrowly avoided something horrible

| Yes I do, in fact. It applies to more than just touch attacks -- I use this to check if any spell that doesn't do damage or heal, adds a status effect, removes a status effect, requires a touch to work, or generally only just checks for a success rate (for a character to successfully counter attack, for instance).
I will post Slice's "Barrier+" technique as an example.
Barrier+, -200 Energy, Creates a magical shell that protects from all directions (roll 1d50, works if 26+; blocks attacks on target for a single round, or up to 400 damage; can cast on additional targets for -100 Energy each [only one success roll needed])
Take a look at what is in the parenthesis. It is stated that the dice (or die) that you have to roll is 1d50. If you roll anything between 1 and 25, the spell fails. If you roll anything between 26 and 50. The spell succeeds. Let's take a look to see what happens.

| As you can see, I rolled a 47. Barrier+ would have worked.
Typically, success rate spells, touch spells, etc. will work out to have a 50% success rate. In certain cases, the success rate may be higher or lower (for example, the ability "Counterattack" has a 70% success rate). So, I hope that answers any questions.

| Just thought id add to this, an example of a spell with a different % chance would be Seiks d-dive, 1d200, works if 50+. That would be a 75% chance of working, instead of the standard 50%. I cant give an example as we have no d200, ah well, hope you get the picture. | |
